how do I remove the clip on faceplate on my cell phone?

I have a verizon LG flip phone and it came with a faceplate you could clip onto it. thing is I have no idea how to get the thing off to put on the spare that it came with. any ideas how to remove it?

Usually, faceplates are held on at the top of the handset, don't use anything metal to try to prise it off as you'll damage it. Try to get your fingernail in the gap and ease it off. Have a look at the back of the replacement to see where the clips are on your phone.
